Currently, Soviet thermal imaging capabilities include an array of infrared detectors up to 50 InSb detectors. InSb detectors and coolers act as the basic sensing device in infrared front-view night vision systems. Operating wavelength range of 2-6μm, the system can distinguish 0.2 ℃ temperature. The system was developed specifically for medical diagnostics and non-destructive testing.
