  Kulangsu is also Gulangyu. Its in Xiamen, Fujian Province. Its a beautiful old island in the southeast China. Its not big, but people from 13 countries set up their houses here. It is 2,000 years old.
  Kulangsu is just a village. There are about 4,000 families and 14,000 people, and its home to many great musicians, such as Xu Feiping and Yang Jing. Many people have pianos at home there. So people call the beautiful place Chinas “Piano Island”. Many people from other countries live and work on the island for years. They also bring many things from Europe. Kulangsu is one of the first places in China where people can play and hear Western music.
  The Kulangsu Piano Museum is the largest one in the world. It seems like piano keys. There are over 100 pianos in it. The museum tells people the islands music history.
  There are 931 old buildings and gardens in Kulangsu. You can see some buildings in Europe style. The island is surrounded by the sea. You can take a ship and climb up the 92.7-meter-tall Sunlight Rock①. It is really tall!Then you can see the whole island and Xiamen. Welcome to Kulangsu!
