人类从事创造性的设计活动由来已久,设计思维的不断拓展,给我们积淀了丰富的设计方法和经验。陶瓷造型设计不仅要求我们掌握一般的造型设计方法,同时又要熟悉构成陶瓷造型的各种因素。功能效用,物质技术和形式美感的把握是陶瓷造型设计思维方法遵循的原则。在这个原则前提下,充分发挥我们的构思能力和空间想象,才能更大地挖掘主观深层的造型感受。当我们有目的地进行陶瓷造型设计时,在设计思维的过程中会呈现出记忆中的各种形态这些基本形态可分为自然形态,人为形态和几何形态。自然形态是非人所能影响的,是自然发展变化过程中形成的,学画讲究“外师造化”,造型也如此,师自然形,可以提高我们审视造型的能力,而且自然形是想象造型的依据和启示;人为形态就是人工形,几千年灿烂文化,人类创造了石器,青铜,编织等各种形体,这些形体是历代设计思维
