河北省高碑店市方官镇曲堤村的武术会,是合武术、吵子音乐二者为一的会社组织,已诞生130多年,其兴起原因仅有传说可参考,未能确认。其近现代发展历程跌宕起伏,与时代特点有较多关联,可大致分为三个阶段,即晚清至20世纪40、50年代的兴盛阶段,20世纪50年代后期至2013年的萧条阶段,2014年至今的复兴阶段。以刘汉昌为代表的一群对其热诚不减的老会员,对这一传统活动的复兴功不可没,并获得了文化部门的支持。通过考察发现,吵子音乐对应于武术会的文场和武场,分为文吵子和武吵子。曲堤村的吵子谱所存不多,令人遗憾。抢救回来的几份乐谱中存在同一谱字对应多个音高,以及同一音高对应多个谱字的现象。尽管如此,在提升了社会影响、放宽了会员招纳条件之后,这一文化活动有望持续兴盛。
