江泽民同志对党的宗旨和任务所作的新概括 ,是从功能角度对党所作的一种新定义。在“三个代表”中 ,生产力和人民利益可以一起作为经济基础的构成因素 ,这样 ,人民利益与先进文化就在经济基础和上层建筑这一更高层次上形成对立统一关系。在这个结构里 ,人民利益始终是矛盾的主要方面。共产党在改革开放中要始终坚持自己的阶级主体性 ,代表广大人民的根本利益。今天 ,资本主义之所以不仅能够容纳现实的生产力 ,而且还在发展 ,究其原因是市场经济的运行机制在起着积极作用 ,我们正是看到了这一点 ,才把市场经济从资本主义身上剥离下来与社会主义结合在一起。在制度层面 ,社会主义有优越性 ,在体制层面 ,市场经济有优越性 ,我们把两个优越性加在一起 ,搞社会主义市场经济 ,一定会胜过资本主义。共产党要做先进文化前进方向的代表 ,这是“三个代表”中最新的内容 ,是江泽民同志对执政党建设理论的重要发展。无产阶级要发展先进文化、领导先进文化 ,既要坚持自己的阶级主体性 ,又要承认自己的阶级局限性。没有文化 ,或不掌握高级文化是不能主导社会发展的。当前工人阶级的文化素质还远远不够 ,要真正当家做主 ,就要解决文化 ,尤其是高级文化的阶级转移问题 ,使工人阶级掌握高级文化 ,只有这样 ,我们党才能代?
