在农村中学,学生厌学与环境的影响和学习目的不明确有关。明确学习目的是学生发挥主体作用的思想基础,是激发学生自觉进行学习的诱因。因此,教师在课堂上要设法通过讲述有趣味性的故事让学生知道英语作为一种国际通用语言和国际交往主要工具的重要性。而且,英语是中学阶段的一门基础学科,在升高中、大学的考试中考分分别为120分和150分。故学好英语有着重要的现实意义和深远的历史意义。这样,学生明确了目的,就会产生学习英语的自主性,就会对英语产生兴趣,而兴趣就是最好的老师。
