长江引航中心隶属于中华人民共和国长江海事局,于1997年成立的一级事业单位。其主要职责是:贯彻中华人民共和国引航管理法规,维护国家主权,规范长江引航管理,集中统一归口管理长江引航工作;对外代表国家对进出长江的外国籍船舶实行强制引航,对内为进出长江的中国籍船舶提供引航服务。长江引航中心目前在武汉、芜湖、南京、镇江、江阴、靖江、张家港、南通、常熟、太仓、上海等长江开放港口设有11个引航站和江阴、浏河、宝山、扬中、南通(在建)5个引航交接基地,共有引航员550名(其中高级引航员102名、内贸引航员185名),是全国最大的引航机构之一。12.5米深水航道开通到太仓后,引领吃水11.5米的“河北之王”轮靠泊武港码头引领进江最大的海轮50万吨级“海上世界”号引领水面以上最大宽度达128.7米的超宽巨轮“雨燕”号引领最高达100米的“勘探3号”平台 Yangtze River Pilot Center under the Yangtze River Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China, established in 1997 a class of institutions. Its main responsibilities are: to implement the Pilotage Regulation of the People’s Republic of China, safeguard the sovereignty of the country, regulate the pilotage of the Yangtze River and centrally administer the pilotage of the Yangtze River; delegate countries impose mandatory pilotage on foreign ships entering and leaving the Yangtze River, Chinese ships provide pilot service. Yangtze River Pilot Center currently has 11 pilot stations and Jiangyin, Liuhe, Baoshan, Yangzhong and Nantong (under construction in Wuhan, Wuhu, Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Jiangyin, Jingjiang, Zhangjiagang, Nantong, Changshu, Taicang and Shanghai ) 5 pilot transfer base, a total of 550 pilots (including 102 senior pilots, 185 domestic trade pilots), is the country’s largest pilot institutions.
