手机电视的最大特点是移动性、便携性,其画质和音响肯定比不上家庭影院和电影院。然而,手机电视用户能够在工作间隙、上下班途中享受短暂而精彩的多媒体服务,这又是家庭电视、甚至笔记本电脑无法实现的功能。据欧洲、日本和美国针对下一代通信业务的调查显示,许多用户对手机电视业务的期待相当高。诺基亚与沃达丰在德国进行的测试显示,高达80%的民众希望可以在手机上看电视,而美国多数消费者愿意每月花费20美元在移动电视上。
Mobile TV is the most prominent feature of mobility, portability, the quality and sound certainly not as good as home theater and movie theater. However, mobile TV users are able to enjoy short and exciting multimedia services during their work breaks and commutes to work, a feature that home TV and even laptops can not afford. According to surveys of Europe, Japan and the United States for the next generation of communications services, many users expect quite high levels of mobile TV. Tests conducted by Nokia and Vodafone in Germany show that as much as 80% of the public want to watch TV on their mobile phones, while most U.S. consumers are willing to spend about $ 20 a month on mobile TV.
