素有“渝东门户”之称的重庆市万州区,是一座历经革命风雨洗礼的光荣城市,历来有着尚武拥军的优良传统。岁月流逝,薪火相传,区长李世奎自2007年兼任区国动委主任以来,真情系国防,倾力固长城,用自身行动书写了建功国防动员工作的新篇章。万州区2008年荣获“全国双拥模范城”称号,人武部先后被总部、成都军区、重庆警备区表彰为民兵预备役政治工作先进单位、征兵工作先进单位、全面建设先进单位、先进党委、抗击冰冻雨雪灾害先进单位。
Wanzhou District, known as “the gateway to Chongqing East”, is a glorious city which has undergone a revolutionary storm and wind and has always had the fine tradition of marrying the military. As time goes by and pay torch is passed, Governor Li Shikui has acted as national defense chief since 2007 and since then he has worked hard to solidify the Great Wall. Using his own actions, he wrote a new chapter in the work of national defense mobilization. Wanzhou District won the title of “National Double-support Model City” in 2008. The Ministry of People’s Armed Forces was commended as advanced unit of political work and recruitment of advanced units in militia and reserve reserve reserve by the Headquarters, Chengdu Military Region and Chongqing Garrison Command.
