棉铃虫Heliothis armigera(Hubner)是我国棉区棉花蕾铃期的主要害虫。多年来,由于使用杀虫药剂防治,对减轻为害确保棉花增产,起到很大作用,但是施用浓度及防治次数却逐年增加,从而使所用药剂的防治效果减退。如1971和1972年河南新乡地区棉铃虫对DDT的抗药力比1964年提高了3—10倍,低龄棉铃虫的抗药力1973年比1971年和1972年提高2.5至4倍。由于抗性的产生,而给防治工作带来很大的困难。因此,早期能侦测出药剂防治无效是由于抗药性还是其他原因是很重要的。如能及早地侦测出所用的杀虫药剂的无效是由于抗性的产生,那么就可以考虑改用其它杀虫药剂或防治方法。另外,也可能是其他原因而误认为抗药性。这种假的侦测就有可能放弃了有效药剂而忽视了无效的真正原因。这些原因可能是:(1)药剂施用时间不合适;(2)所用药剂的配方和浓度不对;(3)有效盛分的变质;(4)施药时所用的药械调节不善;(5)施药时速度太快;(6)施药期间或施药后天气的影响;(7)稀释药剂的水质不好等。

These reasons may be: (1) the time of application of the medicament is not suitable; (2) the formula and concentration of the medicament used are not correct; (3) the deterioration of the effective content; (4) (6) the impact of the weather during or after application; (7) the water quality of the diluted agent is not good, and the like.
