瘦素是肥胖基因编码的一种蛋白激素,具有多效性,通过与受体结合参与体内多种生物学作用。近年的研究发现,瘦素在神经内分泌的调节中起着重要的介导作用,可将营养状况信号传递给与生殖相关的中枢神经系统,与下丘脑-垂体-性腺轴功能的维持、卵泡发育、胚胎着床、多囊卵巢综合征及男性不育等生殖内分泌有一定关系。瘦素可直接或间接作用于生殖系统,从而对人类生殖内分泌代谢起到调控作用,深入研究瘦素在生殖系统的作用,将有助于揭示临床不孕不育症的发病机制,并为人类辅助生殖技术提供新的治疗思路。
