20世纪六七十年代，几乎所有的年轻人和学生使用的都是清一色的黄挎包。款式基本上就是一种，仅有包盖上有明扣及暗扣之分，面料多采用军绿色细帆布，大多还缝制了白布隔层。黄挎包绝对是当年的”时尚”，红小兵到处串联要背着它，知识青年上山下乡也要背着它，它似乎代言着“永远革命”的精神。到80年代，色彩和款式单一的黄挎包便渐渐被种类繁多、色彩缤纷的箱包取代，直到近来国内外掀起了一阵红色设计的复古风潮，黄挎包这个电影中不可或缺的怀旧道具，开始重新走上时尚舞台，甚至成为一种时尚前卫的标签。
