民族的复兴需要伟大的民族精神,这其中就包含沉积几千年的优秀中国文化。学习、传承并弘扬中国文化是每一个大学生义不容辞的责任,而英语应该成为我们介绍并推广中国文化的重要工具。鉴于此,本刊特聘清华大学崔刚教授从本期开始主持“中国文化”这一栏目,陆续刊登一些介绍中国传统文化和相关人物的英语文章以及重要典籍的英语翻译选段。其目的有二:帮助读者在学习英语的同时,进一步加深了解中国的传统文化;帮助读者学习如何使用英语表达中国传统文化的内容。所选文章多出自西方学者之笔,语言质量可靠。您对这个栏目有什么意见和要求,请及时与我们联系。
The renaissance of the nation requires a great national spirit. This includes the excellent Chinese culture that has been deposited for thousands of years. Learning, passing on and carrying forward Chinese culture is an unshirkable responsibility of every student, and English should be an important tool for us to introduce and promote Chinese culture. In view of this, the magazine hired Professor Cui Gang of Tsinghua University to start the column “Chinese Culture” from this issue, and successively published some English translations of English articles and important texts introducing Chinese traditional culture and related figures. Its purpose is twofold: to help the reader to further understand Chinese traditional culture while learning English, and to help readers learn how to use English to express the content of traditional Chinese culture. Most of the selected articles were written by Western scholars and their language quality is reliable. What are your opinions and requirements for this column? Please contact us in time.
