碗窑沟断裂展布于博格达北凸弧形构造山脉西翼西北麓山前(东山地区)的梁状黄土台地上,介于乌鲁木齐河与水磨河之间。断裂向西北延伸从乌鲁木齐市区穿过,被市区乌鲁木齐河谷厚约40 m的第四系黄土、砾石层覆盖。该断裂系乌鲁木齐市主要的晚更新世中期活动断层。采用高精度浅层地震探测手段,结合钻孔勘探,探测出乌鲁木齐红光山南侧的碗窑沟断层隐伏段的精确位置及运动特征。
The fault of the bowl-yao ditch is distributed on the beam-shaped loess platform in the front of the northwest foothill of the northwestern arc of Bogda Da (Dongshan area), between Urumqi River and Shuimo River. The fault extends northwestward from the urban area of Urumqi and is covered by Quaternary loess and gravel layers about 40 m thick in the urban Urumqi valley. The fault is the main mid-late Pleistocene active fault in Urumqi. Using the precision shallow seismic exploration method and the drilling exploration, the precise location and the movement characteristics of the hidden segment of the Wanyaogou fault on the south side of the Hongguang Mountain in Urumqi were detected.
