居住隔离在一定程度上对同一住宅阶层的群体起着激励作用,因其相似的经济利益、兴趣爱好等能够形成共同的利益需求。但居住隔离不利于文化的交流,严重者则可能引发文化隔离,从而限制城市整合文化的功能,使城市文化难以成长;甚至加剧阶层间的对立和冲突,从而增加社会的不稳定。因此,从城市的稳定和发展而言,我们还是要警惕“居住隔离”的形成。
Residential segregation, to a certain extent, plays an incentive role for the same group of residential classes, because of their similar economic interests, hobbies and interests can form a common interest needs. However, residential segregation is not conducive to the exchange of culture. In severe cases, it may lead to cultural segregation, which limits the function of urban integrated culture and makes urban culture difficult to grow. It even aggravates the antagonism and conflict among different strata, thereby increasing social instability. Therefore, from the perspective of urban stability and development, we must guard against the formation of “residential segregation.”
