种子含水量是关系到种子活力保持与寿命长短的最为关键的因素之一。有关这方面的工作,在国内外早已有过不少论述。以较低的含水量(3—7%)贮藏菜种子,对保持活力、延长寿命极为有利。但是,刚收获的种子含水量一般较高,而且此时周周空气的相对湿度一般也较高。在这样的外界条件下,种子很难干燥到贮藏所需要的最低含水量。如果用加温空气对流来除湿干燥,那么需要较高的温度,这样会损伤种子的活力,缩短寿命。一
