智能交通系统 (IntelligentTransportSystem ,简称ITS)是在传统的交通工程基础上发展起来的新型交通系统 ,其研究对象是人、车、路和环境交通四要素的空间与时间关系 ,又可以称之为广义的交通信息 .本文在介绍国际上ITS研究状况的基础上 ,首先给出了ITS的系统组成 ,而后从信息技术的角度阐明ITS是一个交通信息获得、传输、处理而后利用的信息系统 ,提出了ITS的信息化模型 ,最后简述了ITS中的信息技术四基元 .
