文中阐述该车间大型钢球热处理后产生大量屈氏体,深达0.30~0.40毫米,有的最深达到0.50毫米。其产生原因有二:1.钢球在冷却过程中,表面上产生气泡,使球与水隔开,降低冷却速度,从而产生屈氏体;2.球在圆盘淬火机中淬火,球与淬火机相对静止,与淬火机接触部分的冷却速度低于与水接触的冷却速度,从而产生屈氏体。消除的方法是:1.增加淬火介质中苏打的含量,以提高爆破气泡的能力;2.使淬火介质振动,从而使球表面的气泡产生后马上破裂,同时使球本身运动,不至于和淬火机相对静止。并对圆盘淬火机进行改进,增加了一个喷头,强制圆盘中的水振动。
