中央广播电视大学(简称中央电大)是面向全国开展开放教育的教育部直属高等学校。中央电大和各省级电大及其分校、教学点组成了遍布全国的开放教育教学系统。开放教育是经教育部批准,由中央电大组织实施、全国电大系统共同参与、主要面向在职成人的一种新型教育形式。截至2010年春季,全国44所省级电大及中央电大直属学院、八一学院、总参学院、空军学院、西藏学院、残疾人教育学院等全部参与开放教育。开放教育累计注册学生680余万人。中央电大坚持“面向基层、面向行业、面向农村、面向边远和民族地区”的办学方向,根据行业、企业、岗位及职业发展
The Central Radio and TV University (hereinafter referred to as “China Radio University”) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education that is open to the public throughout the country. The Central Radio and Television University and its provincial TVU and its branches and teaching centers form a system of open education and teaching all over the country. Open education is approved by the Ministry of Education, implemented by the Central TV University, the National RTV system to participate, mainly for working adults a new form of education. As of the spring of 2010, 44 provincial TV universities, the directly affiliated colleges of China’s Central Radio and TV University, Bayi College, the General Staff College, the Air Force Academy, Tibet Institute and the Disabled Education College all participate in the open education. There are more than 680,000 registered students in open education. The Central Radio and Television University insists on the direction of running a school that is “oriented to the grass-roots level, facing the industry, facing the rural areas, facing the remote areas and ethnic areas”, and according to the industries, enterprises, positions and career development
