Since the early 1970s it has been demonstrated that opioid receptors do exist in brain tissue, the study of opioid receptors has been a hot topic in neurobiology and molecular neuropharmacology. Confirmation of the presence of opioid receptors in brain tissue has led to a search for endogenous opioid spikes, the discovery of a variety of endogenous opioid peptides, and the promotion of opioid receptor polymorphism, elucidating the existence of at least μ, δ, κ three types of opioid receptors. To clarify the nature of the opioid receptor structure, since the mid-1970s, the work of isolating and purifying opioid receptor proteins was launched. After more than 10 years of hard work, since opioid receptors are too low in brain tissue, it is estimated that in 1 g of brain tissue
