现在仅流存于日本的唐代祥瑞专门类书《天地瑞祥志》中,虽然记载了山车的图像,但是目前还没有关于山车祥瑞的研究。而一方面,中国浙江省海宁出土的三国画像石墓中所见的祥瑞图中有与此山车类似的山形祥瑞图,所以,本论综合日中的各种图像、文献数据,对此祥瑞图进行了再度的探讨。本论首先基于文献,解明了山车虽然源于《礼记·礼运》中的山出车的祥瑞,但它获得象征皇帝的至德与武功之重要祥瑞的地位,则是在魏晋以来的正史《舆服志》《礼志》的车制以及六朝文人所作的国家颂赞文之中。另外,本文注目于海宁三国画像石墓被推定为三国吴孙权之女的墓,以及作为与预言了孙权王朝成立的史书中的山车相通的黄金车出现这件事;在汉唐时期附有榜题的墓葬画像中所缺少的主要祥瑞只有“山出车”的祥瑞图这个事实;前田尊经阁文库本《天地祥瑞志》中所描绘的图像保证了一定程度的正确性等事实,指出目前被定名为“山产玉璧”的海宁三国画像石墓中所见的山型祥瑞图,实则有可能是东汉以降,逐渐变为显示强大皇权的重要的祥瑞——“山车(山出车)”的图像。
