1. How do you do?
How do you do?
It’s a pleasure to meet you.
It’s nice to meet you.
I’m glad to see you.
1. Long time no see!
How is everything going?
How are you getting along these days?
How have you been?
What’s new?
What brought you here?
Good bye!/Bye bye! 再见!
See you tomorrow/later!
I’d like to say goodbye to you.
I’m afraid I must be going now.
I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Drop in anytime you like!
Mind how you go, bye!
1. It’s a long time since I got your last letter.
2. Many thanks for your kind and warm letter.
3. There’s nothing more important than to receive your letter.
Frank: Hello! Peter! How is it going?
Peter: Pretty good!
Frank: Would you like something to drink? Tea, juice or coffee?
Peter: Coffee, ok?
Frank: No problem. And here’s some milk. Make yourself at home. What about going to the cinema later? I heard a new movie would be shown there. Would you like to go with me?
Peter: Really? I think I’d love to, but I’m afraid I can’t come. I’ll go to the library with Mary half an hour later.
Frank: What a pity! It’s not interesting to see a movie alone, you know. How about tomorrow evening?
Peter: Well, let me see. Aha, I’ll be free tomorrow evening. I think I can go with you. Let’s make it at 7: 30p. m, right?
Frank: All right. See you tomorrow!
Peter: See you!
再见!
