This paper presents the bending test results of two large-diameter aluminum alloy corrugated cylinders with eccentric (single-sided) reinforcement rings. The two cylinders are the same except for the position of the reinforcement ring. One cylinder ring is connected to the outer surface, and the other cylinder’s ring is connected to the inner surface. Both cylinders are warped in an overall destabilizing manner, ie the corrugated wall and the reinforcing ring are warped like a synthetic shell. The buckling strength of the ring on the outer surface of the reinforcing ring is 2.3 times that of the cylindrical ring on the inner surface. The warping of the two flats occurs around 70% of the indicated load with a small deflection warp theory that takes into account the effect of ring eccentricity.
