中国民族的伟大复兴必然伴随着中华文化的繁荣昌盛,要更加自觉主动地推动文化大发展大繁荣。在文化的地位和作用越来越凸显的历史时期,学术界、理论界应该如何看待中国文化的过去、现在和未来,又该如何考虑马克思主义和当代中国文化的发展,是一个具有重大理论意义与现实意义的问题。在中国文化的当代建设中,马克思主义、中国文化传统与西方现代文化之间的对话既是必要的,又是可能的。对话要受历史文化条件的制约,要尊重历史的辩证法特别是一般和个别的辩证关系,要有历史的、时代的眼光。对话的目的是要推进文化的传承和创新。因此,在对话中要坚持马克思主义世界观和方法论的指导,要传承中国传统文化中的人文精神,吸收西方文化中理性主义的启蒙精神,切实做到以我为主、为我所用、综合创新。
