三仙洞石窟,位于新疆维吾尔自治区喀什市北郊,是我国位置最西的一处石窟。本世纪初以来,英、法、德、日、俄等国探险家均曾考察,但未作详细报导。向达先生在《西域见闻琐记》一文,提及该石窟,但因“洞内壁画、塑像,荡然无余”~([1]),故对该窟保存状况,亦语焉不详。李遇春先生在《新疆三仙洞的开凿时代和壁画内容初探》一文中;对该窟情况,作了较为详尽的报导。认为:“三仙洞石窟寺的开凿和窟中第一层壁画的时代当为公元三世纪的东汉末到三国时期”;

However, due to “cave murals, statues, all of a sudden”, the state of preservation of the caves is also not fully understood. Mr. Li Yuchun published a paper entitled “The Era of Sanxian Cave in Xinjiang and Preliminary Study on the Content of Frescoes”; and made a more detailed report on the cave. The author thinks: “The time of the first mural of the Three Swords Cave Temple and the cave in the caves is the late Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms period of the third century AD”
