SS1型机车自486号以后,安装了辅机保护装置以来,辅机烧损的故障明显减少。尤其是对于新开通的电力机务段和新提职的司机,辅机保护装置已成为不可缺少的机车保护部分。辅机保护装置总的来说,性能稳定,故障较少,唯有滤波电感LBDK(存机车5号电器屏的标号是B5)烧损的问题,值得引起机务段检修人员、乘务人员及机车修理、制造工厂的注意。因LBDK电感提供辅机保护如插件的电源,一旦烧断,整个辅机保护装置就失去作用了。在处理LBDK烧损故障的过程中,往往因找不到LBDK烧损的根本原因,盲目换上新的配件,不久又发生烧损。
