1950年代的妇女解放话语,把旧中国的妇女建构成旧时代的牺牲品和等待解放的可怜虫。1957年9月,围绕“影星周璇之死”的各种言说,也遵循了这一大的时代基调。与周璇同时代的电影女演员纷纷发表言说,以现身说法的方式,完成了女演员是“旧时代牺牲品、新时代的幸福人”的自我建构。对国家权力话语的迎合,是电影女演员在1950年后期的一种生存策略,帮助她们获得清晰的社会身份和更好的事业前景。然而,在此过程中,她们作为女性的主体身份和自我意识却逐渐模糊。
Women of the 1950s emancipated their words, building the women of old China as victims of the old age and wretches waiting for liberation. In September 1957, the various statements surrounding “the death of movie star Zhou Xuan” followed the tone of this great era. The film actresses with Zhou Xuan have made their speeches in the form of self-expression to complete the actress’s self-construction as “the victim of the old age and the happy man of a new era.” Catering to the discourse of state power is a survival strategy for movie actresses in the late 1950s to help them achieve a clear social identity and a better career outlook. However, in the process, their identity and self-awareness as the main body of women gradually diminished.
