ALRA(Academy of Live and Recorded Arts)学习了表演课程。
It wasn’t always obvious that Miranda Hart was destined for comedy stardom, but her desire to perform was never in doubt.
Miranda: I always want to perform from the age of six. I do remember I performed the entire Annie to myself, but imagining I was performing it to…in a thousand, two-thousand-seater West End show. I can distinctly remember that.
The scale of Miranda’s plans grew and grew. Before long, her productions were being staged at the local 1)village hall.
  Miranda: Hello, Village Hall.
Alice (Miranda’s sister): It’s much higher than I remember.
Miranda: It’s really high. It’s like quite scarily high.
  Alice: It is, isn’t it?
Miranda: The Double Take Theatre Company presents...
  Both: Orange Island.
Miranda: Did I sort of direct you?
  Alice: You’re quite bossy.
For 15 years Miranda struggled to get herself noticed. She appeared in adverts and on comedy shows.
  (Clips from Hyperdrive)
Miranda: Shot Commander. They’ve shot Mr. York. They’re reloading their crossbows. I’m just waiting to see what they’ll do next.
In 2009 she finally got her big break, writing and starring in her own 2)sitcom Miranda.
  (Clips from Miranda)
  Miranda: No! I’m stuck!
It’s become one of the most successful shows on television.

Interviewer: Miranda Hart, we love you. You are hilarious. I like that you’ve just curtseyed in front of everybody.
  Miranda: Curtseying, curtseying, yes.
Interviewer: It’s very, very nice, and you’re very polite of you. This is your TV, US TV debut.
  Miranda: I’m so excited!
  Interviewer: Yeah, me too!
  Miranda: Thank you.
Interviewer: Please, thank you for being on.
Miranda: You’re so kind of 3)cheekily handsome in the flesh. I love it.
Interviewer: Thank you. Thank you so much. You’re very pretty yourself…
Miranda: I mean obviously you look 4)fab on television as well, I hasten to add.
Interviewer: No, no, no, please. Well it’s nice to meet you in person as well too. You’re gorgeous. Now you have…you have these things…your ideas of things you want to do in New York, and I was, like, what, you can do anything, and what was it you wanted to do?
  Miranda: Mainly eat.
Interviewer: Yes, you just wanted to eat food, yeah. It’s that great food here in the city.
Miranda: Sorry, everything in England is 5)quaint and small and apologetic, and here you’re, like, look at our buildings and our portions. They’re just like massive. You get a meal. Is that for me or 15 other people?
  Interviewer: That’s fantastic.
  Miranda: So it…So it’s…
Interviewer: Where’d you go? What’d you get?
Miranda: So, I was on the Staten Island Ferry doing the tourist thing today. Got a hot dog, obviously. And then obviously had to go to Shake Shack.
  Audiences: Ohhhh.
  Interviewer: Look at how excited.
  Miranda: So excited!

Interviewer: Shake Shack right there baby.
  Miranda: So excited!
Interviewer: That’s as New York as you’re gonna get, right there.
Miranda: And that is when someone from Britain recognized me and said, “Can I have your photo?”when I was 6)inhaling a burger. I was so embarrassed. Interviewer: So. It’s so perfect.

Interviewer: Congrats on the book here. Bestseller. Is It Just Me?
  Miranda: Thanks.
Interviewer: This is a fantastic book. It’s 7)super-duper funny. In there it’s you talking to your 18-year-old self.
Miranda: Yeah. I basically, yeah, I did the, I hosted this big comedy show in…in the UK, and on the way back I drove past this old theatre, which is sort of a 30-seater, which I used to try out my material in front of, and I found myself bursting out crying. And the driver’s like, “Are you OK?” I was, like, “Yeah, I just, like, can’t believe my dream’s come true.”
  Interviewer: Ahh.
Miranda: So, I got the idea to talk to my 18-year-old self and tell her how...how the last 20 years have gone.
And that sometimes, you know, embarrassing things happen, but it’s OK. Like, I’ve had some embarrassing stories...
  Interviewer: Yeah,…
  Miranda: …happen to me.
Interviewer: …and it’s…it’s all gonna turn out alright.
Miranda: It’s…it’s all gonna turn out, and if you follow your dream and just be yourself, you’ll be OK. That’s sort of the lesson.
Interviewer: That’s so cool. You guys gotta...gotta read this book. It’s really fun to read.

Minis
