陈纸(陈大明)的小说,读来不轻松。或者说,是沉重。这大抵与他多年的记者生涯有关。优秀的记者,总能从纷繁的乱象中发现问题,并抓住这问题。于是,新闻停止的地方,小说开始生长。带着审视的眼光看社会、看问题,并力图透过现象看本质。这是陈纸小说结构中的一个常见模式。这也许是陈纸有意识的追求,也许,是小说家未曾意识到的。多年前,我曾写过一篇短文——《追究者陈纸》。我在文中称陈纸是一个问题的追究者,他对问题有种天然的迷恋和刨根问底的热情。许多年过去了,陈纸越发爱刨根问底,越发不留情面。我说的,当然是指他在小说中的那些追问。现象摆在这里,你看到了, Chen paper (Chen Daming novel, read not easy.
