局部区域通信网络是具有许多影响系统性能的相关变量的复杂系统。本文的目的是开发能为局部区域网络设计师们所用的简化设计准则。设计师们把这些准则用于考虑CSMA/CD争用访问方案的场合。用于这类环境的仿真模型在初始网络配置设计和评估期间有助于确定有效的系统工作范围。本研究包括开发用来分析网络设计变量有效性的GPSS仿真模型。在把仿真结果输入给多元回归分析的实验性设计中考虑这些变量。得出的回归方程为网络设计者评估消息传输延迟提供一个简化的有用工具。在初始网络设计阶段当不可能或不适宜在该设计环境使用复杂的仿真或解析模型时,这将为网络性能评估提供便利的方法。
A local area communication network is a complex system with many relevant variables that affect system performance. The purpose of this article is to develop simplified design guidelines that can be used by local area network designers. Designers use these guidelines for scenarios that consider CSMA / CD contention access schemes. Simulation models for this type of environment help determine effective system operating ranges during the initial network configuration design and evaluation. This study includes the development of a GPSS simulation model to analyze the effectiveness of network design variables. These variables are considered in the experimental design that inputs simulation results into multivariate regression analysis. The resulting regression equation provides a simplified and useful tool for network designers to evaluate message delivery delays. This will provide a convenient means of evaluating network performance when it is not possible or appropriate to use complex simulation or analytical models in this design environment during the initial network design phase.
