在关于我国加入世界贸易组织(WTO)的议论中,人们似乎已经形成一种共识:“入世”后受冲击最大的将是汽车工业。因为,与世界汽车生产强国相比,我国汽车工业生产规模小、集中度低,产品品种少、质量差、价格高……一旦几年后整车进口关税由目前的80%至100%降为25%,零部件进口关税由目前的50%降至10%,再加上全部取消汽车进口配额,我国汽车工业就有可能遭受灭顶之灾!
In the discussion about China’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), people seem to have formed a consensus that after the “WTO entry”, the automobile industry will be the most affected. Because, compared with the world’s automobile manufacturing powerhouses, China’s auto industry has a small scale of production, low concentration, low product variety, poor quality, and high prices. Once a few years later, the import tariff of whole vehicles will be reduced from the current 80% to 100%. 25%, import tariffs on spare parts from the current 50% to 10%, coupled with the abolition of all auto import quotas, China’s auto industry may suffer the catastrophe!
