The pathogenesis of dangerous malaria associated with brain symptoms remains unclear. Although many organs were found to have been impaired by blood clots during necropsy and may be associated with erythrocyte adhesion and deposition and disseminated intravascular coagulation, The reason is not clear. The authors used ~ (5 (?)) Fe and ~ (51) Cr as tracers to label normal and infected erythrocytes to study the signs of erythrocytes in macaque brain infected with Plasmodium knowles.
