羟砷铅锌石产于个旧铅锌矿床氧化带,与其他氧化矿物伴生,该矿物呈淡黄色。比重5.67,摩氏硬度4.5—5,反射率11.5—11.6％,二轴(一),分子式PbZnAsO_4OH 1975年,我们在个旧松树脚氧化铅锌矿中发现了一种国内未曾发现的矿物,经分析其分子式为PbZnAsO_4OH。1982年10月,我国新矿物与矿物命名委员会以之作为新矿物报IMA审议。但IMA业已先通过了K.Paul发现的Arsendescloizite~1)(羟砷铅锌石),故我们丢失了发现权。 现将我国产出的羟砷铅锌石的研究结果报道如下:
Hydroxynaphrite is produced in the oxidation zone of Gejiu lead-zinc deposit and is associated with other oxidized minerals, which are pale yellow.
