A new study in France says drinking 4 cups (227 g / cup) of water a day can prevent hyperglycemia (pre-high blood sugar) while drinking less than 2 cups a day can increase the risk. A total of 361 5 male and female participants were surveyed by researchers at the Bisha Hospital in Paris. Participants were given health surveys every 3 years: daily drinking, wine, beer, cider and sweet drinks. The study, which lasted nine years, tested the participants’ blood glucose levels. Blood glucose levels were normal for all participants at the start of the study, but during the study period
