The word“Pashod”in Tibetan translates as“the village under the feet of warriors”.Pashod County is situated in southeast Tibet.National highways No.318 and No.214 cross it.The topography of this area is rich with high mountains and river valleys and small highland grasslands are scattered between them.The climate in the river valley is hot and dry.In the southwest and northeast respectively,are Mt.Henduan and River Nujiang.From Pema Town,the downtown of Pashod County,to the downtown of Chamdo Prefecture is about 266 kilometers,but to Lhasa City,it is 861 kilometers.From the east to the west of Pashod County is a maximum of about 112 kilometers,but from the south to the north it is about 150 kilometers.The total area of the county is 12.6 thousand sq.kilometers.
