举世闻名的诺贝尔奖。是以瑞典化学家诺贝尔的遗产为基金而设立的国际大奖,诺贝尔文学奖是其中一种。 公元1901年诺贝尔文学奖首次颁发,首获殊荣者是法国的著名诗人和散文家苏利·普吕多姆。此后,除在两次世界大战前后停颁七年外,该奖的评选为每年一届,相沿至今。诸多饮誉国际文坛的大作家,如罗曼·罗兰、泰戈尔、肖伯纳、海明威、肖洛霍夫等均先后得奖,足见诺贝尔文学奖的颁发和评定标准是基本合理的。亦正是缘于诸多文坛名家的获奖。促进并形成了诺贝尔文学奖在国际文学活动中的权威地位,所有的作家将它视作终生为之奋斗的目标。藉此推动了世界文学的发展。诺贝尔文学奖在世界文学史上所起到的作用由此可略窥一斑。
The world-famous Nobel Prize. It is an international prize set up by the Swedish chemist Nobel’s estate as a fund. The Nobel Prize in Literature is one of them. The 1901 Nobel Prize for Literature was first awarded. The first winner was Sully Prudhomme, a famous French poet and essayist.
