李涵秋是清末民初与林纾、包天笑齐名的“小说三大家”之一。其三十六岁之前主要是一位诗人,曾经领袖武汉诗坛。其长达二十年的诗歌创作逝后被友人编年结集为《沁香阁诗集》,共三百四十余题六百多首。若以体裁论,近体律绝占大多数,有五百一十多首,古体和歌行体一百多首。以其二十九岁(1902)为界,其诗风格前后变化明显。前期诗作三百余首,且多为简短的写景抒情之律绝,体现出以绮语呈疏狂的风格;后期诗歌体裁多样化,尤其长篇古体和歌行体的大量熟练写作,展示了诗人抒情方式的进步,由于生活面的拓宽,诗歌内容也更加丰富多样,表征为以平淡蕴沉郁的风格。对沁香阁诗进行深入研究,具有填补学界空白的意义。
Li Hanqiu is one of the three novels of the novel written by Lin Shu and Bao Tian in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.
