墓志是古代丧葬礼俗中重要的随葬品,专为记叙死者姓名、籍贯、生卒年月、生平事迹等内容的丧葬器具,是当时人们生死观与丧葬文化的重要体现。南北朝以后的定型墓志以石质的盝顶盒式为主,分为志石与志盖两个部分(图一)。志石上的文字称为墓志文,志盖上有标志性功能的文字称为墓志盖题铭,简称“盖题”(图二)。因志盖题铭大多文字寥寥,时有荒诞不经之书,其史学价值、文献价值等较低,或旋出旋弃,颇受冷眼,以至今存者十不足一二,长期以来未能引起考古、历史、书法等学界
The epitaphs are important funeral objects in ancient funeral rituals. They are specially designed to describe the names, birthplaces, dates of birth and death, life stories and other contents of the deceased. They are an important manifestation of people’s life and death view and funeral culture at that time.
