前言沉积型铁矿占我国铁矿石储量的15%,居各种类型铁矿石储量的第二位。其中宁乡式铁矿在我国南方分布十分广泛,多为中型或大型矿床。据初步统计,工业储量约占全国赤铁矿总储量的32%左右,为全国铁矿石总储量的8%。我们曾对宁乡式鲕状赤铁矿、綦江式菱铁矿—赤铁矿等进行了工艺矿物学研究,发现它们具有铁品位低、结构复杂、有害杂质含量高等特征,因而大部分未被充分利用。在本文中仅以宁乡式赤铁矿矿石的研究为例,说明该类型矿石的工艺矿物学特征与其利用途径的关系。宁乡式铁矿矿石被利用的主要铁矿物是赤铁矿,其原生粒度和嵌布粒度均较细,与
