China has registered five more natural heritage areas with the World Heritage areas with the World Her-itage Committee. It is the third time China has reported its natural and cultural resources to the committee since it joinedthe World Convention for the Protection of Natural and Cultural Heritages in 1985. The newly-registered areas are Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, both in Sichuan Province, Wulingyuan, inHunan Province, Lunan Stone Forest in Yunnan and Huangguoshu, in Guizhou Province.
