The Second People’s Hospital of Maanshan City was gradually developed on the basis of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital. It now has 200 beds and 240 staff. Professional and technical personnel accounted for 89.76%. There were 15 associate professors and more than 20 professional departments. It was a regional general hospital with characteristics of obstetrics and gynecology and maternal and child health care. Maternal and Child Health Hospital was founded in 1974. At that time, it was only a specialized hospital with a construction area of 700 square meters, 50 beds and 30 employees. After 23 years of continuous leadership and all the medical staff’s hard work, it has grown and once it has been relocated. Site and the historical opportunity of three expansions, developed into a total construction area of 13,000 square meters at present, which includes prevention, health care, medical care and education.
