MM教育方式强调运用数学方法论指导数学教育教学,对于数学教育改革有重要作用。MM教育方式内涵丰富,其8个操作因子:数学的返璞归真、数学教学中的美育、数学的发现法教育、数学家优秀品质教育、数学史志教育、数学中的演绎推理,合情推理和一般解题方法的教育所蕴含的数学观及其价值对当今幼儿园数学教育有重要的启示作用,利用这一理论并结合幼儿数学教育的实际,采取数学教育密切联系生活,适当融入数学史志故事,强调操作法、发现法的应用等策略,以期更好地发展幼儿数学教育。
