In the face of the Pentagon’s requirement of decommissioning all 52 F-117s by 2008, the U.S. Air Force made objections. The author of this article, Major Colin Elton, believes that the F-22A’s combat capability is inadequate due to the slow pace of service of the F-22A, its weapon system (also used by the B-2 Phantom stealth bomber) and at least for the next decade replace. At the top of the Pentagon, we focus more on budget, funding, military structure and future directions. The U.S. Air Force middle-level commander, represented by Major Alton, follows all the principles of actual combat. Disagreement between the two is inevitable. It is worth noting that the author graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, has driven 28 models, the cumulative flight time of more than 2500 hours. As an Air Force commander who used to drive the Gulf War on the F-117, Elton said it was of great value.
