当代中国处于现代化发展的初期阶段,仍然处于以经济建设为中心的基本格局之中,因此,作为民族传统艺术的戏曲,今天普遍处于困顿状态并不奇怪,每个剧种都要面对时代严峻的挑战。比如昆曲,作为传统深厚的舞台艺术,文化价值高,艺术发展成熟,今天的任务关键是如何让民众了解它,知道它的美和它的价值,对它即可形成热爱之心,甚至是痴迷之情——昆曲青春版《牡丹亭》在国内高校热演就很能说明问题。但新兴剧种有点不同。
