一个独立分句自己本身可以组成一个句子,但是,由两个或更多个独立分句组成的并列句是最普通的句型。它不仅能表达各个分句的意思,而且还能表达出它们之间的微妙关系。这种微妙关系的表达要靠它们之间的标点符号,有时还必须借助于连词或连接副词。
An independent clause can itself form a sentence, but a parallel sentence consisting of two or more independent clauses is the most common sentence pattern. It not only expresses the meaning of each clause, but also expresses the subtle relationship between them.
