中国是一个拥有11亿人口的大国,人口众多,土地资源匮乏,目前人均耕地面积不到1.5亩,即占世界7％的耕地上要养活占世界22％的人口。从发展的眼光看,我国的耕地面积还会随着人口的不断增长而逐年减少。因此,农业要想有一个大的发展,走扩大耕地面积的路子是行不通的,必须在提高农业劳动生产率,增加农作物单位面积产量和有效利用土地资
China is a large country with a population of 1.1 billion. It has a large population and lacks land resources. At present, the per capita arable land area is less than 1.5 mu, which accounts for 7% of the world’s arable land and needs to support 22% of the world’s population. From the perspective of development, the area of arable land in China will continue to decrease year by year as the population continues to grow. Therefore, if agriculture wants to have a big development, it will not be feasible to take the road to expand the area of cultivated land. It must increase the productivity of agricultural labor, increase the output of crops per unit area, and make effective use of land resources.
