实验研究了一种高消光比短脉冲的产生技术。利用色散补偿光纤线性压缩由增益开关分布反馈激光器出射的光脉冲 ,而后利用电吸收调制器的非线性吸收特性同步调制光脉冲。利用这种方法在实验上产生了重复频率为 10GHz,脉宽为 10 4 ps,抖动小 ,高消光比 ,无基座的短脉冲。此种技术可以应用于 4 0Gbit/s的光时分复用系统中 ,同时也说明电吸收调制器具有同号脉冲整形功能
A kind of high extinction ratio short pulse generation technology was experimentally studied. The dispersion compensating fiber is used to linearly compress the light pulse emitted by the gain switch to distribute the feedback laser and then use the nonlinear absorption characteristic of the electroabsorption modulator to modulate the light pulse synchronously. In this method, a short pulse with a repetition frequency of 10 GHz and a pulse width of 10 4 ps, small jitter, high extinction ratio, and no pedestal was experimentally produced. This technology can be applied to 4 0Gbit / s optical time division multiplexing system, but also shows that the electroabsorption modulator with the same pulse shaping function
