陈半丁(1876-1970)现代中国画画家,浙江绍兴人。他少年时家庭贫穷,但勤奋好学,更爱好诗文书画,常临摹一些名家作品,而且画得不错。20岁那年,他赴上海,为了学习书画,结识了名画家任伯年、吴昌硕,并拜他俩为师。在名师的指导下,他的诗书画印的造诣与日俱进,深得吴昌硕等的赞赏。4 Chen Bailin (1876-1970) Modern Chinese painter, Shaoxing, Zhejiang. When he was a teenager, his family was poor, but studious, more interested in poetry and calligraphy and painting, often copying some famous works, and draw well. At the age of 20, he went to Shanghai. In order to study painting and calligraphy, he met renown painters Ren Biannian and Wu Changshuo and worshiped them as teachers. Under the guidance of famous teachers, his poetry, calligraphy and painting attainments progress with each passing day, won the appreciation of Wu Changshuo. 4
