Overview Biomedical sensors (transducers) are devices that convert physiological parameters (or physiological phenomena) to other easily measurable quantities (typically electrical). It is an indispensable key element in biomedical measurement, diagnosis, treatment and data processing. The nature of the sensor often determines the characteristics of the entire measurement system. The main uses of biomedical sensors are three: First, the organism is examined to gain insight into physiological functions or to make the correct diagnosis. Second, monitoring is the determination of physiological parameters are within the prescribed range or in order to observe the recovery process, or in the event of anomaly early warning.
