《中华人民共和国环境保护法》(以下简称环保法)是我国环境保护领域的基本法律,规定这一领域的主要制度。该法于1989年正式出台后,对保护我国环境起到了重要作用。1995年以来,全国人大代表先后提出了70多件议案,要求尽快修改该法。我省人大环境与资源保护委员会委员、十一届全国人大代表吴建平在2009年、2012年分别领衔提出4号、97号关于修改环保法的议案,受到全国人大重视,环保法修改组组长蒲海清亲自带队
